Air Relief Valve

Air Relief Valve

DIG’s 1/2 in. Air Vacuum Relief Valve with male pipe thread ensures optimal performance and efficiency in your drip irrigation system by preventing debris from being sucked back into the dripline.

This relief valve is designed to release air from the dripline during system startup, allowing the line to fill with water. When the drip zone is turned off, the valve allows air to re-enter, preventing the formation of a vacuum that could draw debris into the system.

By installing the Air Vacuum Relief Valve at the highest point of your dripline, you can effectively prevent clogging in sub-surface drip systems caused by back suction under vacuum conditions.

Features

  • Reduces Maintenance and Extends System Life: Minimizes the need for frequent upkeep, ensuring a longer lifespan for your drip irrigation system.
  • Smooth and Reliable Operation: Delivers consistent performance for optimal system efficiency.
  • Eliminates Air Pockets: Removes trapped air within system zones, ensuring uniform water distribution.
  • Automatic Air Release: Efficiently expels air from the dripline when the system is activated, ensuring smooth water flow.
  • Allows Air Entry Upon Shutdown: Prevents vacuum conditions by letting air freely enter the system when the zone is turned off.
  • Prevents Debris Infiltration: Stops dirt and particles from entering the dripline through emitters or outlets, reducing the risk of clogs.
  • Prevents Suction and Line Collapse: Helps avoid suction that could cause the dripline to collapse and potentially draw in contaminants that block emitters.
  • Effective Sealing at Low Pressure: Ensures perfect sealing even under very low system pressure conditions.
  • User-Friendly Design: Easy to handle, install, and maintain, making system upkeep straightforward.
  • Durable Construction: Made from UV-resistant, high-quality plastic that withstands harsh environmental conditions.

For optimal performance, install the Air Vacuum Relief Valve after the drip zone, along the dripline laterals, and at the highest point in the drip system layout. Use one valve per zone or per 10 GPM (33 LPM).
