About

The 1/2″ compression PVC Insert is used in the installation of a drip irrigation system to connect 1/2″ drip tubing with .700 OD to .704 OD to a PVC pipe.

Installation

To connect the drip tubing into the compression fitting, first glue the insert into a 1/2″ PVC slip coupling, elbow or tee and let it dry for an hour. Insert the 1/2″ drip tubing end with .700 to .704 OD into the compression side of the insert, pushing and wiggling the drip tubing back and forth into the fitting. The 1/2″ compression fitting side uses a simple wrist action and the drip tubing is “walked” into the fittings for a very tight fit, ensuring a watertight connection.
