Fogger/Mister on Barb with Stake

DIG’s low-flow, 360° Fogger/Mister with a barbed elbow (also available on a stake) is ideal for misting or watering pots and hanging baskets. Operating at a pressure range of 30 to 60 PSI, the 3-GPH fogger/mister’s vortex design spins the water droplets into a fine mist, producing micro-sized droplets in a small-diameter area. It is available on a 6” stake with a 1/4″ barbed elbow (model 7790BB – pack of 2) or with a 1/4” barbed elbow and no spike (model 7795BB – pack of 5), allowing for installation flexibility with any size tubing. The fogger/mister can be placed inside 8” to 24” diameter pots and baskets or used where overhead watering or misting is suggested on any type of planting, including vegetation that requires constant moisture, with the mister hung upside down 4″ to 5” above the plant.

Features

  • Incorporates a vortex mechanism, breaking the water into micro-sized droplets
  • Designed for easy installation and uses and does not require skilled design experience

About

The 7790BB and 7795BB Fogger/Misters are available with a full-circle pattern in a flow range of 1.96 to 3.17 GPH at 20 to 60 PSI. The Fogger/Misters’ droplet size is very sensitive to pressure; when the operating pressure increases, the droplets become smaller. The two models are made of a three-part construction including the body, cover and color-coded nozzle, and are supported by a 1/4″ barbed elbow and 6″ stabilizer stake, or just a 1/4″ barbed elbow. The Fogger/Misters can be connected into the end of 1/4” micro tubing, directly to poly tubing or extended using a 1/4” PE riser. Use them for pots and hanging baskets, around pools and patio areas or where overhead watering is suggested on any type of planting, including vegetation that requires constant moisture, or for humidifying effect. They can also be used for rooting or for creating proper micro-climate conditions.

For complete coverage of an area, the recommended layout is one Fogger/Mister per plant or one Fogger/Mister spaced every 2’ to 3’ to a maximum distance of 72 to 108’ in length using 1/2” drip tubing as the main lateral. Like micro sprinklers, they require a filter to protect the water passages.

For densely planted areas or for maximum cooling effect, place the Fogger/Misters close together for good overlapping coverage. Do not use them in windy areas as the small-sized droplets can be easily dispersed in the air, even under low-to-moderate wind conditions, adversely affecting uniformity. One of the main advantages of the Fogger/Misters is that a relatively large number can operate simultaneously with a 1/2” pipe.
