Low Flow Fogger/Mister

Low Flow Fogger/Mister

DIG low-flow, 360° Fogger/misters with ¼”. barb or 10/32 thread operate at a minimum pressure of 30 PSI to produce micro-sized droplets in a small diameter area when mounted above the plant. Higher incoming pressure results in smaller and finer droplet size. The .8 GPH fogger’s vortex design spins the incoming water into a fine mist, useful where overhead misting or cooling is desired, or for plants that require constant moisture. DIG Fogger/misters are ideal for misting and humidifying in pots, hanging baskets, and planters as well as hanging above for cooling effect. ¼” barb or 10/32 thread allows for a quick and easy connection to ¼” micro or 1/2” poly tubing. The fogger/misters are available in two models, part # 8825BB with a 1/4” barb (pack of 5), and part # 8810BB with 10/32 thread (pack of 5) allowing for installation flexibility with any size tubing.

Features

About

The 8825BB Fogger/Mister with a 1/4” barb and the 8810BB Fogger/Mister with 10/32 thread produce a full-circle fine mist with very fine droplet size at a flow rate of .71 to .9 GPH at 30 to 80 PSI. Each of the two models is constructed of three parts, including a body with a barb or thread and cover, a color-coded nozzle and an O-ring. The fogger/misters can be connected into the end of 1/4” micro tubing or directly to poly tubing or extended using a 1/4” PE riser. Use them around pools and patio areas or where overhead watering is suggested for any type of planting, including vegetation that requires continuous moisture, or for humidifying effect. They can significantly reduce the temperature inside greenhouses to maintain ideal temperature and humidity.

For complete coverage of an area, the recommended spacing is 3’ to 4′ between each fogger/mister head to a maximum distance of 262′ to 475’ in length using 1/2” drip tubing as the main lateral.

Like micro sprinklers, the fogger/misters operate at low pressure and require a filter to protect the water passages.

For densely planted areas or for maximum cooling effect, place the fogger/misters close together for good overlapping coverage. Do not use them in windy areas, as the small size droplets can be easily dispersed in the air, even under low-to-moderate wind conditions, adversely affecting uniformity.

One of the main advantages of the fogger/misters is that a relatively large number can operate simultaneously with a small-sized pipe.
