Drip Soaker Tape Fittings

Drip Soaker Tape Fittings

DIG’s Drip Soaker Tape Fittings are available in many configurations to meet all types of applications in the layout and installation of drip tape. They use a threaded sleeve assembly over a body with a large barb for easy installation. The larger threaded sleeve makes the fittings easier to install and tighten, and the sealing interface with a long barb provides guides for the drip tape to slide over the barb for a secure seal. The fittings are made of high-impact, UV-resistant plastic so they last for many years and work exceptionally well with all major brands of drip tape.

About

The drip soaker tape fittings are designed to support easy installation, tight connection and reliable leak-proof operation of thin-wall drip tape. They allow for easy installation and ease-of-use of drip tape layouts in vegetable gardens or for any row plantings. The fittings are made with a long barb to guide the drip tape into the right position and a large ridged threaded sleeve for rapid tightening and positive sealing, making it easy to secure the drip tape in a few quick steps. This design allows the drip soaker tape to be retrieved and used again.

Installed easily either above or below grade and designed mainly for use in vegetable gardens or for row crops, the drip soaker tape fittings include drip soaker tape couplings, end connectors, drip tape to 1/2” drip tubing connectors, 3/4” swivel adapters and transition barbed connectors. The drip soaker tape fittings can be installed with all other brand name drip tapes on the market.

To install, turn the sleeve on the fitting clockwise, insert and push the end of the drip tape over the barb and secure the drip tape by turning the threaded sleeve counter-clockwise to go over the drip tape, ensuring a quality watertight connection with no clamps or glue. Hand tightening should suffice for this type of installation. To test the connection, pull or jerk the drip tape from the fittings. To open and remove the drip soaker tape fittings from the drip tape, turn the threaded sleeve clockwise until it meets the fitting body and pull off the drip tape.
