Extrusion Lead Operator (Night Shift)

Job Title: Extrusion Lead Operator (Night Shift)
Status:
Perm/Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a multi-skilled, self-motivated individual with prior technical background in pipe extrusion. This Extrusion Lead Operator will lead and supervise a team of operators to run extruder line to produce polyethylene pipe and dripline. The work is primarily characterized by responsibility for the extruder line night shift activity and the team that operates it, utilizing company resources to meet production schedules.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team on the extruder line
  • Troubleshooting equipment when necessary
  • Operating and filling for any extrusion positions
  • Implementing and following preventative maintenance programs
  • Communicating effectively with management, engineers, mechanics, and operators

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to work under stressful conditions
  • Ability to perform basic math computations
  • Capability to learn new technologies
  • Must obtain a valid Forklift certification
  • Must be able to work on a flexible schedule
  • Must be able to work closely with others, and guide a team on best practices in terms of troubleshooting & maintenance

 

Education/Work Experience

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in pipe extrusion
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

 

Environment

The work is performed in a manufacturing and distribution plant environment. The position is subject to loud noise (hearing protection is required), very light dust, high/low temperatures and other environmental conditions as would be normal in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Support Advisor

JOB TITLE: Technical Support Advisor

DEPARTMENT: Tech Support / Phone Center

REPORTS TO: Tech Manager

 

SUMMARY: The Technical Service Representative is responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction by providing information and solutions to problems, and offering problem-solving resources to architects, dealers, homeowners, etc. This person will handle technical calls and inquiries, assist and support the customers and offer enhanced customer service that may help influence business opportunities for the company.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Handling the technical service activities of the Customer Service Department. This person communicates and reports to the Technical Service Manager on all aspects of the business in conformance with the company’s established policies and objectives.
  2. Developing documentation and reporting related to claim resolution procedures of the company.
  3. Processing the return of merchandise from customers which would include record keeping, testing and final disposition.
  4. Returning defective products received from customers to DIG’s suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors for credit.
  5. Maintaining in-depth technical knowledge of DIG Corporation products and the drip irrigation industry to adequately provide technical telephone support to customers and potential customers.
  6. Establishing and maintaining a system to send the appropriate information to potential customers and notifying the Sales Department so that they may follow up.
  7. Testing, repairing, and shipping replacement products to customers.
  8. Resolving problems with clients, customers, and others, regarding satisfaction with DIG Corporation products
  9. Assisting in the preparation of trade show booths and show displays as requested.
  10. Ensuring that telephones are answered promptly and professionally, and equipment is maintained in good working order.
  11. Returning calls, not immediately taken, in a timely manner
  12. Performing other duties as assigned by the Technical Service Manager.
  13. Clearly communicate In English and Spanish verbally and in writing. Bilingual /Spanish is a must.

 

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Must demonstrate a basic knowledge or aptitude of technical concepts related to equipment operation, repair and maintenance, and the ability to resolve moderately to extremely complex technical issues.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with dealers, customers, and company personnel to resolve day-to-day issues to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in or worked with gardening, landscaping, and sprinkler systems.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel as needed.
