NC State University
We like this page because the components of a drip or trickle irrigation system are clearly outlined. It is like a checklist of possibilities when installing a low volume irrigation system. Note that the outline was created by North Carolina State extension services for growers or nursery operators. That means some items in the list may not apply to a homeowner’s system such as pumps (because municipal water is already on a pump system). However, gravity systems are mentioned in the outline and they are a great way to set up a watering system for a home garden in an area where water lines are not present, like in a large field.
