Remote Control Handset

The LEIT RC2ET remote control handset is the programming component of the DIG weather based, wireless irrigation control system. The LEIT-2ET weather based wireless irrigation control system comprises the LEIT-2ET weather based two-station ambient light (solar) powered irrigation controller with a rain sensor connection, the LEIT RC2ET handset, and the LEIT WWS or LEIT WWSE ambient light (solar) powered weather station. The LEIT RC2ET handset communicates with and manages up to 99 LEIT-2ET weather based controllers from a distance of up to 350 feet (100 m) line of sight. The site information entered into the LEIT RC2ET handset is downloaded to the LEIT-2ET controller and used to calculate the hourly and daily local microclimate evapotranspiration (ET). All of the LEIT-2ET controller's operations are controlled via the remote handset.

Initial Handset Charging Instructions

How To Maintain a Long Battery Life of Your Handset
  • It is recommended that you fully charge the new battery to allow it to reach its maximum rated capacity.
  • We recommended an overnight charge (approximately twelve hours).
  • When charging the battery for the first time, the device may indicate that charging is complete after just 10 or 15 minutes. If this happens, ignore this indication until the battery has been given a full charge of approximately twelve hours
  • Do not leave the battery dormant for long periods of time.
  • We recommend using the handset at least once every two to three weeks.
  • Ni-MH batteries will self-discharge during storage; remember to recharge the batteries before use.
