Western Regional Sales Manager for our Commercial division
DIG Corporation, a manufacturer of irrigation products with expertise in micro irrigation and alternative power controllers featuring LEIT technology; is seeking a highly motivated Western Regional Sales Manager for our Commercial division. This person will be responsible for the provision of the planning, organization, coordination and sales skills necessary to generate business opportunities for the company, to include distributors and dealers, landscape architects, professional irrigation contractors, government agencies and irrigation consultants while exploring the potential of other markets. This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing
This person will establish sales targets and marketing objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the market segments by region and territory, as well as projecting expected sales volume for existing customers, new customers and products.
This person will be involved in the hiring, training, mentoring and review of the western regional commercial sales team and requires a high level of teaming and collaboration skills to gain a committed and motivated sales staff. Qualified applicants must have a minimum of ten years of experience in the professional irrigation industry and a Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing, business management or related field. Must demonstrate success in selling products and dealing with high volume commercial businesses, distributors and dealers. Strong organizational, presentation and communication skills are required.
This position will travel extensively to meet customers and to work with regional commercial sales teams. Applicant must be able to travel up to 75% of the time and work weekends as required.

Mechanical Engineer
DIG Corporation, a growing irrigation company is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Mechanical Design Engineer. In one of our fastest growing business sectors, we utilize a state of the art, solar-powered technology to power irrigation controllers that are used around the world. This position will be involved in the continuing development and utilization of the technology in new product designs, specifically in the area of hydraulics.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on and will work on new product design, evaluation, testing and improving designs of existing products. SolidWorks experience is a must for this position. Experience in molded plastic parts is a plus as well as a solid knowledge of solenoid operation, functionality and hydraulic valve operation. We are looking for someone who is bright, enthusiastic, confident and eager to be part of a great team. The candidate will communicate easily at the technical and non-technical level.
Responsibilities include test data plotting, preparing performance curves, hydraulic analyses, illustrations, working drawings, and design of products for custom applications. Candidate will be expected to perform initial testing and verification of part / assembly fit. Selected candidate will also evaluate design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, materials and methods engineering, application, budget, price, production costs, methods of production and market characteristics.
Position entails design creation both conceptual and actual; discussion of modifications required, designing for product performance as well as the design of the product enclosure or body. Scope also includes the development of simulated models, test procedures and aiding in the testing of prototypes and interpreting test results. The position also requires the creation of layouts, drawing packages, specifications, bills of materials and engineering change orders. Candidate may be required to work with sub-contractors, mold houses, and molders during the development of new and existing products.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a hydraulic concentration.
- Minimum of 3 years of SolidWorks experience.
- Familiarity with ANSI drafting standards and geometric tolerancing.
- Experience with manufacturing techniques and practices.
- Ability to design test fixtures, automated or static, to test designed products.
- Ability to design assembly fixtures, automated or static, to assemble products.
- Experience in plastic molded products and molds preferred.
- Working knowledge of CAD.
- 5 plus years of mechanical design experience.
- Solid knowledge of working with solenoids, preferably in a hydraulics setting.
- Prior experience with design of hydraulic assemblies.
- Experience in Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and other Quality and Reliability improvement techniques.
- Must have excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
